Capital Market Authority’s New Graduates Internship Program, Sixth Edition – January 27, 2020
The IMF Middle East Center for Economics and Finance (CEF) hosted an event benefiting 20 young Kuwaiti interns from the Kuwait Capital Markets Authority (CMA) as part of the latter’s Training Program for Recent Graduates. The program seeks to introduce the CMA’s graduates to the financial and economic institutions operating in Kuwait, and in general help in expanding the participants’ knowledge and skills to enable them to compete in the labor market.
During the event, CEF officials gave presentations on the objectives and work of the IMF, and an overview of its global operations. They also briefed the interns on the key mission of the CEF, which is hosted by the State of Kuwait. The CEF’s central role is to support the capacity-building efforts of Arab League countries by training public sector officials in economics and finance, as well as to produce research and lead conferences, seminars and symposiums of benefit to policymakers in the Arab World.
